Delete an album
  1. Make sure that you've signed in (To sign in with your Windows Live ID, click Sign in in the upper-right corner.) to your space and that you're in edit mode (One of two modes that you use to work on your space. When you're in edit mode, you can customize your space, change themes, or add photos or a new blog entry. As you work on your space, you'll flip between edit and view mode.   2. In the Photos module (A unit of information on your space. Modules include Blog, Profile, Lists, Photos, and more.) , click Photos.
  3. Click the album that you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete album.
  5. Click Delete.
Notes
  • Deleted photo albums can't be recovered or retrieved.
  • To delete several photos at the same time, press and hold the CTRL key, select each photo that you want to delete, and then click Delete selected photos.

I may have done it once - but I am still on the learning curve!!! I have just uploaed more photos, so the brain is working, but I couldn't delete the empty albums. Any tips there?
